Luxembourg, December 14th, 2009 - EuroDNS is glad to announce the opening of the .DO domain extension.
.DO is the Country Code Top Level Domain for the Dominican Republic, a nation on the island of Hispaniola and also the 2nd biggest Caribbean nation with around 10 million people.
Having your name registered in a .DO is significant if you are planning to reach and communicate with the audience in the Dominican Republic. It can also be a strategic move as the word "DO" means different things in different languages. In English “DO” is the most used action verb, with plenty of meanings attached to it and possible usages. In Spanish, "DO" is the end of all verbs in past participle.
Xavier Buck, CEO of EuroDNS says, "As part of our strategy to offer a large range of new and exotic extensions, from country code top level domains to generic ones, we are pleased to launch the .DO for the Dominican Republic. We already offered the second level domain .COM.DO, more centered on commercial organizations. .DO is not only significant for its association to a country, but it also has great marketing potential and has an obvious usage: for example, one could register howdoyou.do, whatyougonna.do".
The registration fee for a .DO domain name is € 98 per year and the registration minimum term is of 2 years.
